Thanksgiving Season Day 29 gratitude: start of week 5

 Monday, November 10, 2025

"Mom, there is ice in my outside water bowl!  I like ice."

Today I am thankful for a place to shelter inside.  I know The Prisoner and Ember are also thankful to have a warm refuge when the first snowflakes dance in the air, as they did on Sunday morning.  The temperatures outside are stronger this morning, and the wind is making the "feels like" temperature even colder.

Having a place to "hunker down" is certainly worthy of gratitude.

  1. Yes, it is. I like snow but I love sipping hot chocolate and watching it fall from my nice cozy couch.

    1. It didn't stick, so didn't count, but I saw it! I'm with you on how to treat the real stuff when it comes. So is my DIL. They did indoor adventuring at a state park on Sunday.

  2. The snow flew last night, too. Just snow on the grass. But it is very cold. Made it to 32F and on the way down. And winds from the NW, CHILLY. Stay warm

    1. We now qualify as having had our first "hard freeze". But we will bounce back with a predicted high of 67 on Tuesday.

    1. Eight days later, now, from original entry, it's about to dip a bit, but still warmer than "average" for this time of year. I am not looking forward to the darkness or the cold of Winter, but it's only 33 days until the minutes of sunlight start increasing again!
