Today I am thankful for the Nebraska Animal Medical Center. They combine veterinary services with grooming, and day care and boarding, as well as selling pet supplies. Kind of like a one-stop shop. Oh, and they are open for emergency vet service on weekends.
I am thankful that Ember loves everyone there, and on Tuesday she came home so totally chill, freshly groomed by Tony. He has been her groomer the whole time she's been with me.
She looked so happy, I had to take the mug shot!

She has a cute mug!
ReplyDeleteIndeed she does. Who could resist such a face?

ReplyDeleteHer beautiful coat stands out to me so I guess that makes her oustanding! (couldn't resist the corny pun)
My cancer roller-coaster ride still in progress; almost at 3-year mark. This week is the middle of another round of three treatments. Multiple recents tests show it has not spread anywhere else but intermittent irregularities need a close watch. Tango going on where I look clear and then a few months later concerning issues -- definite pattern to this.
Someone on a recent blog comment asked about JEANKNEE. I also have wondered how she is doing. Heard from her recently. She has had a rougher than usual year with her ME and other medical challenges as well as fires in her part of the county -- one this summer reached one street over from her home and she went house to house on her street warning neighbors (adrenalin fueled?) which really taxed her energy.
Keep on keeping on,
Susan, Central TX
I had wondered about how JEANKNEE was doing, too, so I'm glad you put an update here! Those fires are such a dangerous outcome of the stress on the planet, and it is just like her to go "above and beyond" to warn others. She was a hero to so many of us on Spark, and she's still being one, at the expense of her own energy.
DeleteCancer is such a sneaky snarky disease, and I'm sorry you're on that roller coaster. One day at a time, and grateful for each one!
You are so right, Barb! That is definitely the face of one happy, chill, doggy-dog! She looks so pretty! Eissa7 (Karen)
ReplyDeleteMy diva! This afternoon she stretched out on the couch, put her head on my leg and was snoring. I feel like I'm giving her a good life!
DeleteYou are giving her a good life ❤️
DeleteThat picture is precious-what a cutie patootie 😘
Wow, that sounds like a pretty great place. I don't think we have anything like that around here that covers so many services in one. Ember looks happy and beautiful as always. Huge hugs.
ReplyDeleteClearly I'm sold on it. Other pet parents who bring their dogs in seem similarly happy with them.
