For this my cat was lost and is found again!
I had put together creamed tuna to go over toast for a tummy-friendly supper and put the can scraps out on the deck for The Prisoner. Guess who showed up shortly after I did that?
Skinny as a rail and covered in burrs! Not particularly contrite, either.
You worried me, little one! But you are home and there is much rejoicing in the land!
She has been missing for two solid weeks and I was ready to "give up" but it just goes to show. Never give up on a semi-feral kitty!
Life is indeed good! Spark on!
Oh! Shouting out a hallelujah that Rubia came back. Wonder what adventure she was on! Well, bet she'll fill up on food to gain back some of her lost weight. So glad she's back!

She's carefully scoping things out. This is the longest "adventure" she's ever been on since coming to live at my place, 8 years ago!
DeleteSkinny is right!! If the camera adds 10 pounds, she has nothing to worry about. Glad to read she's home. A mystery that will probably never be solved. Poor kitty! πΏ
ReplyDeleteTalk about having your gratitude cup running over... recovery going well, a break in the heat, and a found cat! Proud kitty!
DeleteHooray!!!
ReplyDeleteShe does look some worse for wear, but a couple weeks of good eats ought to take care of that...
She maybe should be checked/treated for worms.
Good suggestion about checking her. It's about time for her annual check up anyway. But I can feel her spine, and she is not springing up on the furniture or counters, so I have some questions about whether she was injured and unable to climb the deck fence as she used to, and that was part of why it took her so long to return? Now I'm ready to say "poor kitty".
DeleteThat is wonderful news!!! Great to see her skinny or not.
ReplyDeleteIt is!

DeleteI can't help it. I started singing as soon as I read your blog. While this is a very old son, I love the Muppet Show version.
LOL! Love the song! Beat up and battered, the cat came back. This is where the nine lives myth originated!
DeleteI know that you are relieved to see Rubia …. What a longggg time to be gone and leave you and The Prisoner to worry. She does look thin and scruffy…I am hopeful that she’ll soon recover from her misadventure after a few good days of eating and care! AND how is your RSV recovery; feeling better?? It is worrisome that yet another contagious disease is out there!! Eissa7
ReplyDeleteAs time passes, I'm seeing how bedraggled she is, and working at cleaning her up. My RSV is clearing up. I still have a little residual congestion, kind of like the tail end of a cold, but sleep has been heavenly the past couple of nights, and I'm eating again (sensibly).
DeleteYes, it is a worrisome thing that contagious diseases are abundant, which of course makes it so important for us to "do what we can" to boost our immune systems to fight them off!
Good news on Rubio's return!
ReplyDeletePHOENIX1949
Glad she's home, but she's aged a lot in those two weeks. Or maybe I'm just more sensitive to her age because of it.
DeleteI'm so glad that Rubia is back! I was hoping and even prayed for her return. She does look a little thin and worn down. but so glad she's found home.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you're feeling better and getting rid of that awful RSV.
Have a great day! (((BIG HUGS)))
I am a great believer in the effectiveness of prayer. She feels frail to my hands, and has clearly lost weight and muscle, but she's home! I shall be pampering her for a while.
DeleteMeanwhile, the RSV seems to be on the run, if not completely whipped yet. I went for a walk outdoors, and cut it short. But Thursday I have it set up to go back to the trainer. Might ask him to take it easy on me that day.
π₯³Great news!! I’m SO relieved!!π₯³

Now to get everybody, you, me, and the cat, back to top form, eh? Healing vibes being sent!
DeleteOh, yes, please. Let’s all get there.
DeleteHealing vibes for all.

“Not particularly contrite “ LoL π Cats!
ReplyDeleteEasy does it as you and she recover. Looking forward to the vet report - hope no permanent injury. ππ»❤️
That was me - Ace
DeleteNot contrite, but not as feisty, either, and a bit hesitant about some things that used to be her trademark. Have not taken her to the vet yet.
